A: No, we do not have in-room safes. However, we do have safe deposit boxes accessible at the front desk 24 hours daily.

A: Yes, we offer valet parking in our private and secure lot. Leave the car with us and walk to everything Georgetown offers, or hop on the Metro right in front to get anywhere in DC. Valet parking is $40 per night, plus tax.

Q: What is the history of the Inn?

A: Opened in 1962 as the talk of the town, The Georgetown Inn wowed travelers with innovations, such as butlers on each floor, Rolls Royce transportation, and bootery care. The Georgetown Inn became the place to be seen in Washington, DC, and hosted the fashion shows of Dorothy Stead's, who styled DC's elite. Washington's most honored residents, Hollywood stars, royalty, and sports icons were guests of the Inn including, Astronaut Gordon Cooper; actors Robert Stack and George Burns; and Duke and Duchess of Windsor. Throughout the 70's and 80's, the hotel welcomed many pop culture icons and hosted a party for Playboy Magazine's "Girls of Washington" edition. In May 1992, after years of being neglect and closure, the hotel reopened retaining its historic charm. The hotel has recently undergone renovations to its rooms and meeting spaces.
